As we enter into the holiday season, we have so much to be thankful for. We finished up our Sperryville Pike home in July and we have provided a home for a disabled Army veteran and her family. We have had another property donated to us on Spring Street in the Town of Culpeper and we are looking forward to building a home there for a young lady and her two little girls as soon as we can raise the necessary funds to pay for materials. Jennifer is a single mother with two young daughters from her previous marriage, Jacklyn (4) and Danielle (3). They presently live with her parents in the basement of their home with no bathroom or kitchen, though they have use of the rest of the house. Her father has MS and she has taken on the lawn mowing responsibility to help out and helps out in many other ways. In her twenties she was in a relationship with a young man who entered the military and served in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, he gave the ultimate sacrifice leaving Jennifer in deep grief. Later she married a man she had known most of her life, but soon discovered that circumstances necessitated leaving the marriage to provide a better life and future for her daughters and herself. She has built a new life for her family, including active participation in her church and a responsible position with an organization that counsels at risk youth. We are pleased with the selection of Jennifer, Jacklyn, and Danielle. We have done a number of smaller projects such as we built a handicap ramp for a disabled older gentleman, installed flooring in a home for a disabled lady with MS, assisted one of our volunteers in building a garage, and have helped one of our current homeowners with a repair to her home. Most of these things are not possible without your financial support. Please consider making a year end tax deductible gift (We are a 501C-3 organization) to the Culpeper Habitat affiliate in the enclosed envelope or go to our website ( and make a donation online thru paypal. We have no paid staff and very little overhead cost so 100% of what you give goes directly to helping folks in the Culpeper community. Every donation is very important to us and you will receive a letter from us acknowledging your gift for tax purposes. In closing, we wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year and we Thank You for your support. Culpeper Habitat for Humanity
